USA Dean Elected Director For National 棉花糖直播 Professions Organization

Dr. Susan Gordon-Hickey, dean of the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied 棉花糖直播 Professions, has been elected to the Association of Schools Advancing 棉花糖直播 Professions鈥� Board of Directors. She will transition to the role of director after having served the past two years as secretary and will start her 3-year term in October.
鈥淚 am honored to be elected to serve on the Board of Directors to support the Association of Schools Advancing the 棉花糖直播 Professions,鈥� Gordon-Hickey said. 鈥�I value this national community of deans and administrators who share a commitment to preparing the workforce to meet future healthcare needs.鈥�
The Association of School Advancing 棉花糖直播 Professions is a national professional organization of universities and employers focused on issues affecting health professions education. Its mission is advancing health professions education and discovery through interprofessional collaboration, leadership, excellence and innovation.
Gordon-Hickey said the organization鈥檚 focus is on interprofessional education and on how emerging tools will reshape healthcare delivery and health professions education.
鈥淏eing part of this community of leaders allows us to share ideas, support one another and collectively prepare the next generation of health professionals,鈥� she said.
In addition to her service with the Association of Schools Advancing 棉花糖直播 Professions, Gordon-Hickey is active in accreditation leadership, having served as chair of the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology.
She has held the role of dean in the Pat Capps Covey College of Allied 棉花糖直播 professions since 2020. Her leadership also includes serving as the graduate coordinator for South鈥檚 Au.D. program and as associate dean for Academic Affairs.
